I should be getting my 9600GT some where this week. too bad i don't have any 3850 and 3870. well i was supposed to get those 2 but i got the 3650 and 3870X2 instead. based on the reviews so far, i think both 9600GT and 3870 are great cards.
both 3870 and 96gt are good cards..its very hard to choose between both anyway.. i'll wait longer to decide
I love ATi cards but it looks like the newer 9600GT is better in terms of price and performance... Looks like ATi is in trouble here.
its nearly april now and soon 4000 series and still the price of 3870 not cheap enough for me still selling 700++ my patient is running out..im gona get palit 9600gt if 3870 still in RM700++ oh ya..these 2 9600gt is interesting Newegg.com - PALiT NE/960TSX0252 GeForce 9600GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail Newegg.com - PALiT NE/960TSX0202 GeForce 9600GT 1GB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card - Retail
I think the 512MB is more than sufficient. Even for 8800GT, the 1GB version is not that much better. I don't think the card is able to utilise the extra memory. Save them and get extra RAM instead.
if the 1gb version price is just a little more i dun mind get it..and i can brag to my cousin and friends i got 1gb mem on vga card alone! which 96gt you using mac daddy?
PS, i'm currently using the 9600GT. it's a great card! (I'm using the one from Albatron). what I like about the 9600GT is that it feels as if I'm using the 8800GT and it's only like 3/4 the cost. my favourite nVidia card for now is still 8800GTS for speed. value for money would go to the 9600GT, which upon OC could achieve that of 8800GT.
Gainward Bliss 9600gt 512 ... there is a GS version as well witha better cooler but 750 core on this is easily reached
Very nice card for the price. If you can afford it though, the GeForce 8800 GTS 512MB is still the best bet. But you can't go wrong with either card... or even the GeForce 8800 GT.
"only Rm1300" is lichman's talk im buying gecube 3870xt x turbo, RM690 although 96gt is a fast card and cheaper but been too long ive stick to nvidia..time to move on
Well, the fastest single core card for just RM1300, this is back to the Radeon 9800 Pro days. Cheap, "relatively".
I still have my 9800 even though a component got broken off near the fan connector .. sentimental value PowerSlide I am in the opposite situation I have run nothing but ATI since 2003 but this NV card was a gift and works really well. I am hoping eventually to run something new from ATI will see what is up and coming
well, my cheap is RM300 but although the 98gtx is good but i hate recycling mac, i wish i get a 96gt as gift..that would be sweeeeeeet
That'd be very sweet for me too. But have to have some reservation... or else, I'll be broke again (which I have been for the past 28 years).
