My Unlocked Early Desktop Barton

I have one of the Spring 2003 Barton processors. It's a 2500+. I can pretty much run it at whatever I want for the multiplier. I think 1.8 v is the highest I have pushed it. I got one of the good ones, it is about luck.... I can tell you one thing: My processor runs so hot. I feel that mine runs hotter than other Bartons. Because I have built a lot of them. I have had to stop paying attention to it because it used to make me nervous......but I've had it a long time now. I am currently running 146 degress because I am only surfing the internet. My 9800XT only makes it hotter because it is directly below it.

 

How is your cooling? Make sure you have great airflow in your case...

 

hey guys. is athlon xp tbrgb is good proc? someone selling an 1700 that can do 2.23ghz. or should buy barton?

 

barton is way more worth it, at 200 mhz slower than my 2.0ghz 1700, my computer is already faster

 

Well, a Barton might be able to do higher... It really depends. I dont know how much of an impact the extra cache has...
