Buying new Rig, Budget RM4K+

From what I've seen, most can hit 2.7GHz quite easily.

10k usd would be a killer system and it would also kill your bank account at the same time.

which cpu fan would couple well with the Thermalright XP90C cooler? i was looking at the Thermaltake 92mm. is that good enough? looking for some opinions.

Depends what you want, I guess. If you want cheap, even those $5 (RM10?) 80mm case fans also can. I don't know what brands you guys can get in Malaysia so I can't really make much of a recommendation

DVD burner...I heard that NEC is top notch. Also Pioneer, LG and BenQ.

 

That 92mm fan is ok. I would go for a 92mm instead of a 80mm. It pushes more air with less noise though the pressure of the air will be slighty less. As for DVD burners. Plextor is the best. NEC Pioneer LiteON and LG are great in my book. I currently have an LG GSA-4163B and love it. Its a very good DVD Burner. I have had no problems at all. Best bang for the buck has to be LiteON though.

 

rats! i've just spent the whole evening scouring around for my computer parts and a lot of them can't be found here in Kuching. Looking for suggestions on 2nd and 3rd best choice to go for since i'm having trouble finding these here :-

i just gave CompuZone a call. They do not do shipping anymore. Either i get a courier to pick the items up or i come pick up myself. Either way, i have to bank in payment first before they even proceed to order anything.

getting this rig up is proving to be such a hassle. want to give up already...

anyone have any opinions on the Delta Focus Flow 92mm fan (RM55)? It was recommended by the guys at CompuZone. i can't seem to find a picture / review for it...thx.
