    Oh, I noted a small improvement on all resolutions - 1280 x 1024 up to 1920 x 1080.

Crysis has this odd problem with some drivers. It just can't detect the full resolution - 1920 x 1200 for example. Damn irritating.

I just checked Nvidia site. Latest Beta 169.28 says more performance for SLI n Tri SLI in Crysis when used with latest Patch 1.1. Hmmmmmmmmmmm..... I will try that n see if I can squeeze out a few more frames.

The fastest driver I found was a hacked 169.21.

The new 169.28 driver doesn't seem to help single cards, and it has that stupid resolution problem - cannot set 1920 x 1200 in Crysis.

What? N they say it's released specifically for use with Patch 1.1 to enhance SLI performance n then cant even select 1920? The only reason ppl go SLI is to play on big momma screens like 1920 n 2560. :(

Well, it's the same problem I had with Catalyst 7.12. Reinstalling the driver didn't help, so I think it's a driver issue. I had no problem with ForceWare 169.21.

Oh, I think higher resolutions are possible. Just that Crysis doesn't seem to detect 1920x1200.

    30fps is what i got on a tri-8800GTX rig. using 169.28, patch v1.1@VERY HIGH, on a samsung 1920x1080 F-HD 40incher.

improvement from 169.25 with patch v1.1 is about 10fps

Wah so high? On my GTX SLI rig, I just tested 168.28 with the GPU test n got an improvement of only 3FPS. Tested at 2560x1600, DX10, Medium.

Ur running on DX9 or DX10?

How is Crysis at Very High? :D

    very high = DX10

actually i don't think the improvement should be that high.
more like a screw up somewhere in the tri-sli + .25 + patch v1.1 combination. tri is supposed to run using .28 + patch v1.1

adrian: look pretty on a big lcd tv, once you get the color/contrast/DN configuration right. but frame rate would still drop to 20+ quite often.

    I just reinstalled Windows Vista and the 169.28 driver. Still getting only max 1920 x 1080 on this 24" Dell (max. 1920 x 1200). No problem going 1920 x 1200 when I use 169.25.

Nope. I canned the GTX. In fact, the GTX totally CANNOT run Crysis. It crashes on entering the menu.

The tests were done on a GeForce 8800 GTS 512MB.

I think that GTX must be busted. GTXs seem to have a lot of issues (I have a friend who had probs crashing in source even  ).
