The Radeon X550, 9550 (DDR2 version) and X1300. These cards are very cheap nowadays, and they are clearing up stocks for these if I'm not mistaken. :D

By the word not happening soon, I wanted to mean that, the price of the hardware is not gonna fall anytime soon. Now the 8800GTX & GTS series & Nvidia 680i or 680a series are enough to burn a whole in ur pocket. So, if u want to have a DX10 setup, u'll have to cost a bomb.U'll have to wait for a better bargain.

If u have the budget for a 6200,why r not u going for that? Go buy the card u've chosen for 6200 right now still stocks last.It would be better if u could invest in 7300GT though.

It's difficult to know for sure if an Nvidia 6200 would suffice with Vista's aero interface. You may want to read some of the previews of this OS that have started to pop around on the web just to be sure. My intuition tells me that you will probably want something no less that a 6600GT or possibly a 7600GT but I'm not sure. Check around with other using a similar config as yours to find out.

I'm already using 6200 with Vista Aero.No problems what so ever.Even my laptop based on Intel 915 is capable of handling Aero as well. So, if a Intel 915 can handle Aero smoothly, there's no big deal that 6200 can handle that coz Intel 915 Integrated, is far more inferior than 6200.u know that.

Hmm. I would really recommend the 7300GT as it is a reasonably powerful card. But if you can't stretch your budget that far then here's a card I found.

Darn.. If you can afford a little more, you can get yourself a very nice 7300 GT.

LEs are cut down versions of the cards. So I really would advise you to skip em.

A 7300GT would be faster than a 6600GT... :D Plus I really would not get refurbed stuff. There would be a reason why they were returned.

Also some 6600GTs seem to overheat a lot... :\

X700 or 6200, I'm not sure which one is faster and it really depends which model of 6200 you are talking about.
