Graphic Card Upgrade for Acer Aspire One Atom Laptop

    Can I upgrade graphic card from 256MB to 512MB for Acer Apire One Laptop?

    No, even if you do, you won't notice any difference with it.

    it could be shared memory with the RAM, but yeah, wont notice much performacne gain.

    what is your purpose of increasing it?

    The Acer Aspire One netbook uses integrated Intel GMA 950 graphics which uses system memory. You can upgrade the amount of system memory but the BIOS doesn't allow you to allocate more memory as graphics memory.

    Even if you can do that, there's really no performance advantage in doing so.

    Usually these memory amount are fixed, and cannot be changed at all. Like my EEEPC 701, it was fixed at 8MB and changing the amount is impossible. :mrgreen:

    usually those are fixxed or it's auto increased by following the amount of RAM fixxed into the unit.
