    GETTING TO KNOW YOU..
    What's your full name?
    Azim Yazdani.

    Your age:
Older than you are! Over two decades.

    Where do you live?
In a land where little happens after dark and the weather's
    usually lousy. Kansas, actually.

    Hair color?
Black, with occasional streaks of white!

If you could dye your hair any color, what would you choose?
I'm not one for changing my hair colour. Black it stays...

    Eye color?
    Dark brown.

    Do you wear contacts/glasses?
    Glasses.

    Occupation?
I don't really do much. I'm supposed to be getting a degree, but that's chugging along at a sedantary pace.

Can you touch your nose with your tongue?
You know, I've never met anyone who claims to be able to! Come to think of it, I've never tried it...just a sec.
OK, now I know the answer is no!

    Curl your tongue?
    Yup, it curls.

    Do you drive fast?
It's all a a point of view isn't it? :) Really: No. Seriously.

Do you sleep with a stuffed animal?
    Err, no.

How many different cities have you lived in?
    Three.
    What's under your bed?
A folding table, some books, various bits of junk that somehow end up staying in my room.

    What's on your mouse pad?
My ugly cordless mouse (refer to the 'The ARP Bragging Corner!' thread in General Hardware).

What book are you reading now?
Nothing that I'm not required to. I used to be a prodigious reader, but I haven't done much reading lately.

    Your most prized possession?
My life and sanity (though I suspect both are slipping slowly away!).

The next event/acquisition you're looking forward to?
I'm not one to dwell on things to come (well, not usually).

    FAVORITE THINGS...
    Favorite food?
No real favourites. I am easily satisfied most of the time.

    Favorite drink?
Same as above, though I should point out I've been drinking quite a bit of tea lately.

    Favorite alcoholic drink?
I'm not much of a drinker to be honest.

    Favorite car?
This is a hard one. I like cars, and to choose one as a favourite would be just about impossible for me.
I'll list off a few that I like though:
(vintage) Mercedes SSK (ex-Count Felice Trossi), Ferrari 250GTO, Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato
(modern) Ferrari Enzo Ferrari, Ferrari F40, Aston Martin Vantage (the fabulous supercharged V8 one)
So many cars have caught my eye that if I really wanted to create a list it would include hundreds of cars.
I'll leave the list brief, as above.

    Favorite sports?
Not much of a sports person. F1 perhaps?

    Favorite time of the year?
Anytime when I am free to do as I please.

    Favorite relaxation spot?
    My bed!

    Favorite music?
My taste in music is quite varied. I listen to everything from arias from Puccini operas to Queen, The Beatles, Bach, etc.
Diehard groups/singers I keep on going back to are: Queen, Simon and Garfunkel, Abba, Billy Joel and a few others that don't come to mind.
Anything but rap, country and heavy metal.

    Favorite board game?
Can't say for sure here. I'm too conservative for Monopoly and Risk, and too lazy for Scrabble. Not a board game, but same vein - Jenga's fun!

    Favorite book?
No real favourites. I've read so much I can hardly remember what I've gone through.

    Favorite cartoon growing up?
My childhood is a blur. I remember watching cartoons, just not which ones :).

    Favorite movie so far?
As you might have noticed, I'm not one to pick favourites. Blame the politically correct side of me which doesn't like assigning labels :).
I'll watch just about anything that isn't a romance.

    ON ARP...
    Member since:
    31st August 2004.

    Discovered it through:
I discovered the site years ago when it was hosted on an old P-90 (I think) before Adrian got the domain.
I'm more of a lurker than a poster, so I only joined the forums last year after meeting PsYkHoTiK.

Most frequently visit: (i.e. BOG, which forum, news, reviews, etc)
    General Hardware.

    Fondest memory/Best thing about ARP?
ARP is big enough to have a sizeable audience, yet still small enough to have a casual and friendly atmosphere throughout the site.

Person you would most like to meet from the community? (whom you've not met!)
    The boss!

One thing you'd like to see on the site:
    Hmmm....

    LIFE AS A BIG PICTURE...
What is the first thing you think of when you wake up in the morning?
Another five minutes in bed won't hurt!

If I had a lot of money, I would...
Do as I please! Live the good life, etc.

If I had the time, I would...
There is so much I want to do and should do, but never really have. Learn a few new skills, build great new things, etc.

    What inspires you?
    $. Well, usually.

    Lifetime goals?
Be rich enough that I should never have to work another day, then enjoy the rest of my life.

Who are you going to interview?
This is the annoying part. I had been planning to interview you if someone picked me! Will have to get back to you on that.

    Additional questions

    a)Sloth
    b)Big foot
    c)Gorilla
Given the choice of this 3 animals which would you think best describe you? :p (not my idea btw its Psy's idea)
None. I am not always active, but certainly not slothlike. I do not have big feet. I never did take to beating my chest.

What would be the first thing you run out with if you were in a fire?
    My backup folder (CDs/DVDs).

    Who is your idol?
There are plenty of people I admire, but no one I idolise.

    What is your pet peeve?
It takes a lot to annoy me, but there are times I get ticked off. Like when attendees to business meetings arrive late and don't bother calling ahead (yeah, had that happen to me a few times). And people who renege on commitments.

    Windows or linux?
    Windows

BTW you ain't getting off without showing us a picture!!

So what does the second "A" stand for?

*supresses Wizard of Oz quotes that come to mind*

Occassional streaks of white? Are these very large streaks? Are they natural? It sounds darned cool... got a pic?

If you did, would you admit to it? ;)

What types of books did you used to read then? What made/is making you cut down on reading?

Ah... could you elaborate on that? What kind of skills... and what new things would you call great?

Money inspires you? Or does it merely motivate you?

:haha: Oh dear.... well, don't take too long! We're all waiting with bated breath and we wouldn't want to spoil the momentum that Hyper_raider's built!

That's a good answer! :thumb: :haha:

Ooh.. I thought you're a student. How come you're in business meetings? And.. looks like you and Psy have punctuality in common.

    Great interview, HR! :thumb:

Sorry, I'm a narcissist, no other half :).

I've never been to Perth, but everyone I know who has says much the same about it!

    Specs
    Processor: AMD Sempron 3100+
    Motherboard: DFI LANParty UT NF3
    RAM: 2 x 256MB Geil PC3200
    HDD0: 160GB Seagate Barracuda.7
    HDD1: 250GB WD2500JB
Optical Drive: NEC ND-3500A DVD writer (bought it a couple of days before they launched the ND-3520A...damn!)

How did you know about the second 'A'? :). Adil.
Edit: Scratch that thought. I sometimes forget I use my initials as my nick!

No, it's not quite as dramatic as it sounds, I'm afraid. These streaks are few in number and far apart. All natural. I don't think I have a pic of my white hair...hmmm.

Heavens, no! I have an image to upkeep, y'know? ;)

I read just about anything I could get my hands on. I've been known to hunt down owner's manuals for industrial equipment just for fun. I can't quite say what made me cut down on my reading, but I'd have to blame it on other interests. My dabblings in computers, writing instruments and automobiles has left me with barely enough time to sleep.

Do I have to? ;) I've been planning to dabble with Linux since...oh about '96 or so. Great things to me are thoughts, ideas, or items that challenge the limitations and constraints that are generally accepted as fixed.

Was that a trick question? :p It inspires me to motivate myself.

I'll try not to...he just had to pick me didn't he? :p

    Thank you!

I am a student, but I have dabbled in a few other things as well.

Hey what about me? I had to answer all these questions! :D

Since you are in Kansas, seen any tornados yet? :wicked:

Also, when are you going to join the dark side and get yourself a DSLR, just like PsY?? :wicked:

Yeah, the second 'A' stands for Adil. Picture below!

I like the DB5 too (heck, I like all Astons, bar the rather ugly V8 Zagato), but there is just something so special about the DB4GTZ. Just look at the sheer beauty of this!:

Actually I haven't seen one yet. Come to think of it, I haven't really heard of tornadoes hitting Wichita, hmm...

Never! My spare cash might be going into a little project with my car after the summer :).

Note that the picture below is at my most unkempt - I hadn't yet received a beard trimmer and all that had been growing on my face for almost two months! I look a lot more decent now...phew!

Thank you! Alas, that car is probably quite out of reach, with less than 25 built, and one of them went for about £1.7 million in the '80s.
