LOL! You want to know my history? Intel 486 DX2-66, Pentium 133, AMD K6-2 300, Celeron 300A, Celeron 400, 566, P3 750, Athlon 1.4GHz TB, Athlon XP 1600+, 1700+, 1800+, A64 3200+ Winchester, 3200+ Venice. AMD fanboy, you say?
Lets see, Intel 486, Pentium 100, Pentium III 800, P4 2.0A, P4 2.4C (SUPERB chip), AthlonXP 2500+ Barton, Athlon64 3200+ Newcastle, Athlon 64 3200+ Venice. Yup, thats my history...
I'm not so LICH like the other two Intel 386, Celeron 600MHz, Pentium !!! 450MHz, Celeron 700MHz, Athlon XP 2200+, Athlon XP 2500+, Opteron 144.
mine... Celeron 1.7ghz, celeron 2.0ghz, P4 478 1.7 @ 2.0ghz, P4 478 2.0 @ 2.4ghz, P4 2.4 @ 2.7ghz, P4 478 3.0ghz P4 775 2.8 @ 3.2ghz, P4 775 3.2(i hate this processor, to hot), Pentium D 2.66ghz, Pentium D 3.0ghz... i going to try amd...
ahaha... i've told u... i'll give a shot for amd... but guys in techarp should give me a guide... can u?
There's quite a number of Intel processors in there. I bought AMD because it was so much cheaper back then. Athlon, Athlon XP cost me less than US$90 per processor. A64 was different because A64 was better than Intel's offering. And unlike someone here, ALL of the processors are Intel...
A lot of processors you have had! Intel 286, Intel 486DX, Intel 486 DX4, AMD K6-2, P2, P3, Athlon XP, Athlon 64 X2
Actually, I'm quite a bit of an "alternative" kind of guy. I won't bore you with the full details of my "babies"... but suffice to say, I've gone from a i386SX-16 to a Pentium MMX before moving to and loving the Cyrix 6x86 and 6x86MX processors and even the AMD 486DX4-100 and AMD K6. Eventually, I feel in love with the superb AMD Athlon XP. But during that time, I also used the Transmeta Crusoe processor as well as the Intel Pentium M processors.
The Intel Core II duo is better than the Pentium D. The Core 2 duo has lotsa cache and a huge front side bus. That'll make the biggest winner. I been to the stores and checked out these prices of the Cores - they are very expensive, RM760 for the lowest end model. Whoa.
my "journey" AMD 386, Intel Pentium MMX 233, Intel Celeron 433, Intel Pentium III 500 (took from jeremy ), Intel Pentium 4 2.6Ghz .. thats all ..
Since we're all doing it Intel 486DX, Intel Pentium MMX 200, Intel P4 2.0/2.4, and then...AMD Opteron 144/146. It's all right to try new things I have no problems with going for whatever is best at the time. Including GeForce cards.
i have one cyrix processor... just asking... where to find cyrix mobo in malaysia... someone told me that it can use pentium 3 mobo... is it right?
Err.. I'm not sure which Cyrix processor you are referring to, but Cyrix processors are Pentium and Pentium MMX alternatives. They are physically, electrically and logically compatible.
