Scythe should have called it "the cooler that can potentially break your motherboard" ;)

Looks like a passive cooling design to me. Good if you don't use a case.

Yeah, the motherboard has to be flat on its back. You can forget about mounting it in a case sideways.

LOL, you can forget about closing the side panel after mounting this cooler :haha:

    Thats insane

Will stick with my Katana2 unless this Coolermaster cooler works as good as it looks. Will keep you posted should have a review done in the upcoming weeks on the Hyper 212

Hahah! Even horizontal cases won't be able to take this cooler because of their slimmer profile versus tower cases ;)

  15. 1155g...???!!!

    Wooooo...:faint:
    That's pretty heavy...

    wat is the idle temperature?

It's fine as long as you mount it with a backplate

Eh, I don't think the motherboard can stand the weight even with a backplate...

    WEAK!

    LOL joking :p

Well it's not like you are shaking/bumping the case around. I don't see why 1KG can be a problem if it is mounted securely with a backplate. Orochi isn't the first 1KG CPU cooler, remember Hyper6?

oh crap.. if i install that, i need to remove the fan bracket on my cm stacker.. dont even know if i can put on the side panel .. LOL ... but i'm sure my graphic card will break as well if that thing falls on it.. LOL ... probably have to install the motherboard with the cpu downwards like BTX style.
