M51 Whirlpool Galaxy - 2009

    As I learn new methods it seems that it all becomes more difficult and takes much more time, plus we all have less of it.

    That said, I am really getting to spend some sleepless nights at the telescope and I will share with my pals.:hug: :arp:

    1st image... Luminance (B&W).

    What I noticed first is NOT the subject of the photo but the galaxies in the background. This is INSANE how much we can see into space...:faint:

    Colours to come..... :)

    Wow.. Those are really sharp! Really nice work, Ishtim! :thumb:

    Yeah, and just imagine, whatever we see are actually hundreds or thousands of light years away. Those stars and galaxies may not even exist right now.

    Are they colliding into each other, or are they far apart? (like one behind the other)?
