    Hi,

I am having the dreaded "You do not have permission to access \\NETWORKED COMPUTER" problem.

I have two Windows 7 PC's, one a workstation and the other is a notebook.

For years, I have had them networked together, so that I can browse each ones hard drives from the other computer.

However. For no apparent reason, when I try to go on the drives I get the "You do not have permission to access" error.

I have not been able to source the fix. And I'll admit, I used to know how to do this type of thing.

But Windows seems to get more complicated, and I am confused!!

Can anybody please give me some simple tips?!

    Kind regards,
    Bid

Go to Control Panel -> Network and Sharing Center -> Advanced sharing settings and make sure Network discovery and File and printer sharing are enabled.
