I think it should sound like that. Never got the chance to see one over here. Different wood does gives different sound, I think. :)

This thing was around for an hour or so while I raked leaves. I gor within 10m to take the photo.

And yes DV.... toktoktoktoktoktoktoktoktoktoktoktoktoktoktoktoktoktoktoktoktoktoktoktok is a good description....

That little SOB likes walnut trees (pictured above) and the density of the wood makes them very LOUD :wall:

Nice catch, however I notice that the shot is a bit front-focussed - the tree bark on the left (which is closer to the camera) appears to be sharper than the bird.

What lens did you use for this shot? Were you using one focus point or had all seven enabled?

You are too keen on this stuff atwl...

The bird was moving around the tree as to avoid me so when I would focus on it at the front side of the tree and then snap the dang thing would circle away from me towards the back side of the tree...

Anyhow, i was not using the 7 pt focus, just the 1 or 2 red dots on the left side of the FOV (for lack of better terms). :wall:

    @ Chai....
It was the Sigma Lens but exposure was at 1/500
    f4.5 and the second was at 1/640 @ f5.0
