Don't worry, aKho. I pretty sure you'll get your card and everything will be just fine. I'm really happy that it worked out for you. Way to go, Adrian!
i got it! props to FEDEX for giving me a tough time getting the package open. I had to finally use a pen knife to cut the side to get it to open up, tearing doesn't work. so does it run this time? hell ya!!! Thanks Adrian, ARP forumers, NVIDIA, everyone.
SLI attempt... so here are some pix of me trying to SLI my Leadtek Winfast 6600gt with the NVIDIA 6600gt. and the result is......... SLI DOES NOT WORK WITH DIFFERENT VENDORS! oh well.
Hehe.. Congrats, aKho! Even if SLI doesn't work with different vendors. You can always donate it to a poor guy like me!
i've checked, the NVIDIA is a reference card (given to manufacturers like LeadTek, Gigabyte, Albatron etc as a reference model) so you practically can't buy them, very unique. but anyway, the cooling fan is not as good as Winfast, so i probably gonna get one of those artic cooling silencers to replace it. i also noticed this card runs at around 54'C idle...and can go up to 61'C and more on full load! it's pretty hot when i touch the base...is this normal temperature for a graphics card?
wont work with different vendor.. if the layout of the pcb is the same.. do you think flashing both with the same BIOS will enable SLI ?
I mean if u want to go for SLI, u can get a Winfast 6600GT more easier than getting this unique card. But maybe u don't have the intention to get SLI setup.
