Finally! Ended up having to order some of the stuff from Austrailia because of NONE of the slacker US stores had the stuff in stock... Pic1: U/W housing for S90 Pic2: Out of focus buttons & knobs for access Pic3: Wide angle lens mount that bolts to tripod mount hole Pic4: Cute little wetsuit baggie for lens & hood Pic5: Little case HUGE eyeball The lens fits to housing via bayonet and can come off while u/w for "zoom" shot. It extends FOV to 100degrees u/w and acts as 179degree fisheye in air. My wife has the cam @ work so I cannot play with it now. Going to do some u/w test shots in a day or so @ neighbors swimming pool.
Finally got to go in neighbors pool, but so near sunset so can't judge direct lighting... The pool was in shadows about 2 hrs before sunset No WB adjustments at this point, just trying to get wet. 1st pic w/wide angle conversion lens 2nd pic normal "28mm" S90 wide angle 3rd pic macro @ 1.25m depth Probably won't have another "test" run before trip but I feel pretty comfortable with u/w housing and buoyancy. Really have to work on focusing with the new cam... all @ auto/native "large" JPG settings... seems promising.
All but the rear control ring, but alternatively you can use the <^> push buttons. Played around with it some more in the backyard yesterday to see what options were available for choosing focus... looks like I have some more homework to do as it is quite different than the old 300D.
Wow.. The images are pretty good, despite the low light condition. BTW, it looks like your neighbour's pool is L-shaped?
Yep, it's a 25x4m lap pool with an alcove at one end for access. Went for a dive at the lake this afternoon. Visibility was around 3-4m until boat traffic stirred the water near shore. First 2 pics in about 1.5-2m of water, 2nd pic looking upward from about 2.5m and 3rd looking sideways @ about 2.5m. Now I have water in my right ear...
first 2 before boats... 2nd 2 after. May try again on tuesday after work, then thursday we head towards real clear water.
