Kuala Lumpur, 23 October 2015 – Samsung Malaysia Electronics today is proud to announce its collaboration with one of the leading telecommunications companies in Malaysia, Digi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd (Digi), in an effort to enhance customer service in and around the Klang Valley. Presenting its first ever ‘Samsung Android Hub’ in ten selected Digi Stores nationwide, both leading companies aim to elevate shoppers’ experience through first-class customer engagement.

“At Samsung, we offer more than just devices; we offer the experience. Familiarity and understanding of a product influences the experience and the way a customer thinks and feels about a product and a brand. In the case of mobile devices, customers are more often than not only experiencing half of the phone’s capabilities and we want to change that. As such, we are investing time, capital and talents to drive the awareness and educate customers through interactive platforms and personalised presentations and tutorials,” said Mr Lee Jui Siang, Vice President, Mobile, IT and Digital Imaging of Samsung Malaysia Electronics.

As part of its customer service programme, Samsung is deploying its product consultants or Galaxy Masters at selected Digi Stores to engage customers with personal tutorials on their desired Samsung Galaxy devices. The 1-on-1 training is available daily and includes assistance in basic Galaxy device Setup, Diagnosis and Troubleshooting, as well as Post Purchase Service to Digi customers who purchase any of the Galaxy devices.

A dedicated Showtime Presentation on the Galaxy devices are also scheduled to take place weekly to educate customers as well as create awareness and improve shoppers’ knowledge on Android platforms. With ten consumer driven topics that cater from beginner to advanced users, the structured training programmes and activities facilitated by Samsung’s Galaxy Masters are expected to improve shoppers engagement and user experience.

Aside to guiding and assisting with customers’ queries, the Samsung Galaxy Masters are also tasked with managing the android corner and play a role in assisting the store manager to conduct in-store product training for Digi sales representative. While the focus primarily lies in boosting customer service, the collaboration between Samsung and Digi also allow for professional growth among Digi sales consultants.

“We recently announced that Digi now has the widest 4G LTE network which can potentially connect one in two Malaysian to high-speed internet. Couple that with our digital services like Digi Music Freedom and Capture cloud storage as well as facilities such as Direct Billing for iflix and Google Play; we have a compelling offer for customers which are constantly growing. It’s important that our customers learn how to maximise their devices to enjoy and experience all the inspiring content the internet has to offer.

Having Samsung’s Galaxy Masters at our Digi Stores is a great way of helping customers get the most from their devices and we’re happy to be in this partnership with them,” said Loh Keh Jiat, Digi’s Chief Sales Officer.

To mark the launch of its android hub, customers are presented with a limited time offer on its device plan and accessories. Customers looking to purchase selected Samsung Galaxy devices will enjoy additional RM100 off on devices plans, 40% percent off selected accessories and a free wireless charger (while stocks last).
