    I would recommend Dell U2312HM if you can stretch your budget a little more.

    A cheaper TN-based panel would be the Dell Professional P2211H LED monitor. I prefer it to the non-professional version is because it has a fully-adjustable stand. Over here, you can get it for RM 479 (US$ 160).

    Looks like Dell monitors are a lot more expensive in US.

    resolution readability

    currently I have a crt viewsonic pro p95f @ 1600x1200
    I have the dpi up and on the web have a zoom plug in in firefox
    This is my first led
    will the resolution size make the text miniscule?

    The bigger the resolution, the smaller the text, with the same dpi settings.

    With CRT, I would advise you to reduce the resolution instead of bumping up the DPI settings.
