It doesn't really matter. PSU will only supply what's needed to your system. I think PSU efficiency is more important if you are worried about electric bill. 150A on 12V!
LOL! Will need to redo the electrical wiring if you want to support so much current on a single wire.
Nice power supply, but I think it is useless right now. Who would make build a computer that needs more than 1000W's
Then you will need extra 8 more Molex connectors for 4 PCIe connectors!!! Assuming R600 will using 2 PCIe per card like the 8800GTX.
Think two CPUs and two graphic cards... Think adding water cooling to those... Think using high power peltier boosted water blocks... There you have it! The peltier elements alone will use about 100A on the 12V line. /Olle
i dun get u... wad i get fr my past asus 78gtx, 79gt is a molex-male<->PCIe<->molex-female connectors u would den need all the 4 PCIe power from the psu + 4 converters
The converter that I used to have was molex-male<->PCIe<->molex-male, which means it draws a lot of power from a single molex-male connector, which is why it splits up by using 2 molex-male.
eh... i think mine is male male pcie too leh.. oops u sure that's the purpose of splitting em up? ppl usually suggest u plug one of em instead of both.. i never understand the purpose of having 2 males...
