My friend just got a Viewsonic VX1945wm. Really nice. He had to RMA the first LCD that he got (Samsung 940BW) coz there was a dead pixel. The Viewsonic felt it had a more crisp picture than the Samsung.
Yep. Even in our country, almost nobody accepts RMA'ing. I just found this place that has all the new stuff and they're also most often very good in treating customers.
Bigger screen with no visible dots, any size also can. My birthday is just around the corner. Just FYI, I'd marry anyone who give me a Dell 30" 3007WFP UltraSharp Widescreen Flat Panel Monitor as present.
Size does matter ... sometimes ... 30"-gaming? Then you'd need to be able to sit 2-3m away from it. Otherwise it'll turn out to be no fun in a short time. ^^
oops, i'm the only one who voted for 17"... wad i feel is that 17" has the same resolution with 19", so no point "spending more on a bigger dot" =P
That's what I'm thinking too, but the price difference is very small most of the time... I want 17" 1600x1200!!! If there are 2560x1920 20" even better.
LOL! Sitting 2-3m away defeats the purpose of a 30" monitor. U put it at the same place as normal sized monitors. I sit about 2 feet away from my 30". That's the reason for a 30" in the 1st place. When ure 2 feet away from the monitor it really sucks u into the game n the immersion is just unbelievable. The hand in games like Counter Strike n Oblivion r life sized! That's what u get a 30" for man, not to sit 3m away.
Ok, for some ppl it's funny to move their head while playing, I only wanna move my eyes. ^^ PS: 2-3m -> jk.
samsung syncmaster 226BW is an excellent screen. This lcd is made for gaming and I prefer it over my crt. Except when I'm playing stereoscopic .
