which one is the better choice - price/performance/oc ? CPU Intel Core 2 Duo E4300 1800 MHz Socket LGA775 2048K bus 800 0,065u BOX Dual CORE ( Intel EM64T ) CPU Intel Core 2 Duo E4400 2000 MHz Socket LGA775 2048K bus 800 0,065u BOX Dual CORE ( Intel EM64T ) CPU Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 1866 MHz Socket LGA775 2048K bus 1066 0,065u BOX Dual CORE ( Intel EM64T, VT ) CPU Intel Core 2 Duo E6320 1866 MHz Socket LGA775 4096K bus 1066 0,065u BOX Dual CORE ( Intel EM64T, VT ) I've heard that E4400 is a very good choice ...is it true? ------------------------------------------------------------- Asus P5B-E Plus ; Geil DDR2 800 Ultra CL4 (4-4-4-12) Kit 2 x 512MB, SPD Dual Channel ; Asus 8500GT Silent 256Mb
if u want E4300, make sure you have a very capable motherboard. Not high-end, but capable, like the gigabyte 965
arguably true that on generally mid level motherboards (DS3 and P5b comes to mind), for enthusiast boards, I'm beginning to see a trand whereby NB straps can be set, and latency's internally would be adjusted slightly to compensate. Which is why mine runs at a strap of 1066. P5B if at those speeds would be running at 1333Mhz straps and in turn losing out on thoroughput bandwidth. Tony OCZ and FCG have documented this before on their website
one more thing... Core Duo and Core 2 Duo... what's the differents? izit like Core Duo is only 1 processor in 1 chip and Core 2 Duo is 2 processor in 1 chip?
