yeah like chai said, never trust what the BIOS dumps out. It's not properly calibrated on the Asus. Use a proper DMM to measure
according to Intel spec, 1.35v is the highest conroes can take. what i meant was, + .1/.2 is generally safe for 24/7. just make sure you have adequate cooling.
Hmm... 65-70oC / 55-60oC considered adequate cooling? I wish I had more money to get the Tuniq 120 or Ultra 120.
The system will be placed in an aircon room but unfortunately aircon will not be available 24/7. My A64 system is running at 30+°C in aircon condition. But without aircon, around 40-50+°C. I don't know how this C2D system will be without aircon.
Well, The e6600's THD is only 65 watts. That is pretty low compared to a lot of other cpu's out there. My old T-Bird 1200 is 75 watts, Cough... PresHot... And the quad cores like 120 already.
Oh, My bad. But still my old t-bird had a rep for being hot. So I got a 7600 rpm fan for it that has been making me deaf for years. My new pc is almost silent.
