    its about time, now people can go ahead and purchase a blue ray player without worry :dance: They should just make peace and work togather from the start.

    So what about us people who have a 360 with HD-DVD add-on??? I ain't keen on spending another $500 to get a blu-ray 360.................

    It's about time. The HD industry has suffered too long from the format war. Time to move on with a single format! :thumb:

    Indeed, now we can actually buy High Def media without worrying about if you're buying a dying media or not :dance:

    It's not really a surprise since Blue ray disc has more capacity than HD DVD and Sony has slashed its PS3 to very affordable price. Try comparing a Blu ray PS3 that acts almost like a computer that cost RM1300++ and a Blue ray player which costs RM3000++.

    Sony has taken this extreme move to move Blue ray faster to the consumer

    I am glad that one format has finally been chosen, but I still hate the fact that both formats were rushed to beat each other to market without finalizing either HD spec :( The world had just embraced the standard DVD market, and it is still a very viable format.

    ahhh de prowess of the PS series. toshiba and MS got pwned in round 3.
    there is a reason why sony could sell over 100 million unit of PS2 from 00-05. 6 more generations to go. who is next?
