Removing the fan from Intel stock cooler?

    I've been doing this for a long time, no problems at all :mrgreen: I dry them quickly by powering them up after I wash them and shake off the water on it as much as possible.

    I'm not sure if water and oil mixes well.

    Oh, I don't think the grease in the bearings would be affected by the water. In fact, the grease should keep the water out.

    I'm more worried about short-circuits if I power the fan up after wetting it. :haha: :haha:

    Don't worry, I'm not doing this with a 240V fan :haha: :haha:

    LOL! I'm just worried it will fry my PSU or motherboard! :haha:

    Never plug it to the motherboard! :haha: As for PSU, you won't fry it by shorting the 12V line :mrgreen:
