Something went wrong when I tried to flash my Dlink DSL-504T to the latest firmware, now the status light won't blink. Any idea how to recover this? Thanks
Which stage did you reach when you get that error? Have you tried the recovery firmwares on dlink's site?
I got that error message when I upload the firmware/kernel Yeap, tried that as well Basically the firmware that I tried to upload using TIRemote is the one extracted from the recovery firmware.
Yeap, tried that as well. I tried using TIRemote and uploaded the installation script from the extracted firmware, apparently set partition all worked, it only failed at the 'put' stage to md3 and md4.
No I didn't use any custom firmware at all. When I used the original recovery firmware from Dink, I get the error "EAccess Violation".
Somebody please kill me.... I manage to recover the router, guess where was the issue? THE FIREWALL !!!!!! I used my company laptop to perform the firmware update and the nasty firewall already blocked all unnecessary ports. Well blessing in disguise, in the process of trying all alternative methods to recover the firmware, I manage to learn how to flash custom firmware, playing with command FTP, etc Cheers
Huh? You mean the firewall blocked the firmware update? How is that possible? Didn't you connect to the router using the LAN port? Or did you use WiFi?
Wifi or not, firewall can block everything. That's the purpose of firewall. Never flash firmware using Wifi, because the moment the router got restarted, you won't be able to connect to the router.
