Anything above 10MB/sec requires gigabit connection like what zy said. I was hitting 50MB/sec easily with my new connection now. Streaming HD content over 100mbps may not give 100% smoothness also. Off topic: Can't really tell, should be some Le Mans car, I don't really watch them.

I didn't want to rubber cap, so he gave me RM10 discount, well, that's what he said anyway. CAT5e is supposed to be able to handle 1Gbps, so that question is invalid. The problem I'm having is, the supposedly Cat5e cable was only able to connect at 100Mbps. I switch the cable to resolve the issue. As for the speed increase from 100Mbps to 1Gbps, that depends on many factors, HDD speed, NIC speed (PCI or PCI Express) etc., and I actually mentioned above.
