Ok, I just dissect it because it is dead It was almost impossible to pull the microSD out. It's pretty tight. Had to destroy the other end to push it out.

Got it covered under warranty and now I have a spare 4GB microSD.

Yup.. a 4GB flash drive...
But basically its a reader with a semi-permanent microSD slotted in.

 

Why would they want to do that?

 

Because they are marketing it as a 4GB ultra mini drive?

 

So you mean that the MicroSD is still usable?

 

Yes it is, the "reader" died.

 

That's pretty useful actually because it doubles as a MicroSD drive. Of course, you must be using other MicroSD cards as well.

 

Not really. It is not easy to pull out the microSD because it is a flush fit.

 

Oh, that's not too convenient then.

 

That's why I had to dissect it.

 

I have a tiny MicroSD card reader which is smaller than most flash drives.

 

Here's a similar one, but it has a "button" behind to push the microSD out. It is just likethe MosKeyTo without "button". The microSD is slotted in the same direction.
