I was pointed here by a member on the Overclock3d forums and did the test and here are my result's.

Well ran it at 4.8ghz and at 5.2ghz and didn't need to swap the fans from 5v to 12v either which wasn't to bad.

    4.8ghz result's

It didn't do the system information though on any of the runs which is weird, maybe it has something to do with CPUZ not loading up at the end had to start it manually for this result and didn't bother loading it for the next run.

You did?? I didn't get it. Let me check my spam box.

BTW, Dashken's helping me with the benchmark. I think he got it to work but there's still some work left to do.

Also, guys, we may possibly come up with both 32-bit and 64-bit versions, but not sure if it's what we need. Should we just go with one 64-bit benchmark? Or should we do both 32-bit and 64-bit?

It is also technically possible to make a benchmark, which detects the type of Windows.

    That is fine with me.

Time to revisit this thread (at least) one last time before Ivy Bridge comes along!

Anyways, here are my results - specs can be taken from the sig as it didn't successfully retrieve them when the benchmark-run ended.

For those interested in some nostalgia, old results can be found here and the specs were this circa 2005 gaming rig:

    Hi,

At the moment I have a Phenom II x4 940, but I'm thinking about upgrading my system in the next weeks.

Could someone with a Core i5 2500K run the benchmark (x264 HD BENCHMARK 4.0) WITH activated Turbo Boost and post the results here? That would be very nice. I just want to know the real speed difference between my actual cpu and the 2500K in x264 encoding.
