    Ambiguity in results

    I'm quite confused with these results.

    - i7 2600K at 3.4GHz and Dual X2650 give same performance. Is it due to only CPU and memory clock difference? Looks huge to me
    - i5-2400 and i5-750 are giving 130 and 150fps respectively but dual X5620 is giving just 90fps. I agree there is a difference in memory and CPU clocks but is the difference so huge?

    Does this mean the performance is more of I/O bound than processor bound?

    That's why we have Pass 1 and Pass 2. Pass 2 is more limited by I/O.

    A10-5800K

    AMD A10-5800K, Kingston HyperX 2x4GB DDR3 1866Mhz CL9, Samsung 830 SSD 128 GB, ASROCK FM2A75M-DGS.
    Core speed never surpassed 4Ghz (it should go up to 4.2Ghz?) according to another bench I did with cpu-z. Northbridge was stepping between 1500Mhz and 1800Mhz, but mostly the latter.
