Video player for HEVC/H.265 on Android?

I've recently started to download x265 videos and when played on Android (my media player = Himedia Q16), there's sync problem from time to time.

I've tried MX Player, VLC, and a few others. It's either sync problem or video artifacts.

Is it too early to play anything x265 on Android at the moment? Or it's the hardware?

I know MPC-HC has no problem on PC, but Android... problems...

Looks like hardware problem to me. Can you check what is the bit rate of the file?

    Video: HVC1 1280x720 23.976fps 900kbps [V: hevc main, yuv420p, 1280x720, 900 kb/s]
    Audio: AAC 48000Hz 6ch 256kbps [A: Surround (aac lc, 48000 Hz, 5.1, 256 kb/s)]

    Doesn't look high.

Edit: Ok, most probably it's the hardware. My Note 4 played it smoothly, doesn't have the no audio for a few seconds and then out of sync issue like the Himedia Q16, using MX Player too. :wall:

Yeah those playback issues are totally related to performance. Did you try changing the sw or hw decoder mode?

Yup, both the stable and beta, same video artifacts issue.

    Not yet.

I believe it's because the player doesn't support hw decoding.
