Yeah, just read the news. It was SO CLOSE! Man.. IMHO, it's a sad day for America. America needs a new President, a fresh start.
Bush undid everything Clinton did for the US of A in a single term. And they are going to give him ANOTHER term? Can't believe I actually rooted for him in the last election.. He's such a disappointment.
Is it me... or are the majority of Americans completely blinkered to what the world sees in their current (and newly re-elected) president? An immature village idiot disguising himself as a president? I saw Kerry's concession speech. He acted more gracious and presidential than Bush did in his victory speech. How sad. How so very sad.
I somehow think the next 4 years will be a lot quieter. Bush can get out of re-election mode and perhaps be his true self. Less politically-motivated decisions and more morally right decisions. Call me wishfully optimistic but I reckon he will put a couple of moderates in his administration and then work towards regaining the respect of Europe. The next couple of months when the jostling for cabinet posts starts will be telling.
Those that do not favor G.W. should look at what why he was re-elected. Are you saying that an election that was won by the greatest amount of popular vote dosen't really matter? In 2000, G.W. won by the electoral votes and lost his rear in the popular vote. This time he won both!
