What was your first 3D card?

    RagePro 128 -- 16 MB
    Verto GeForce2 MX200 -- 32 MB
    XFX GeForce4 MX440 -- 64 MB
    Radeon 7000 -- 32 MB
    Radeon 9600SE -- 128 MB
    Radeon 9800 PRO -- 128 MB

Ah yes, I remember my first RagePro...it sure did try hard.

My Verto burned out at the same time as my first AMD processor. The processor they sent me turned out to be less than what it should have been anyway. =_=

The XFX worked fine. Then I got my current rig about two years back, which came with the Radeon 7000. It rejected the XFX! So I ended up being stuck with that crappy Radeon 7000, and put the XFX in my mother's Sony VAIO about a year ago.

Got my Radeon 9600SE. That was a learning experience. 150 bucks (thankfully I didn't pay for it) at CircuitCity, not worth it at all. That was the point when I started to learn about video cards and what all the numbers mean. In all honesty though, it did do a decent job running Guild Wars, but I couldn't play Oni on the system anymore.

Got my 9800 Pro about a month and a half ago. Works nicely. 120 bucks, not too bad.

The Radeon 7000 is still in service, it's in the computer I built for my parents' shop. The XFX still works just dandy, but for whatever reason, my computer just spat it out like a wad of manure. The 9600SE will find a new home sooner or later inside a computer that I'm building to sell. I'm going to put a VGA Silencer Rev. 3 on it and crank that sucker to the MAX. 64-bit bandwidth really chokes it though.

I've still got the RagePro 128. I keep it set aside for emergencies.

Haha...I only posted my first card, not my history!

    Ignoring S3 Virge...
    1. Cardexpert (Gainward) Voodoo Graphics 4MB
    2. Cardexpert (Gainward) Voodoo 2 12MB
    3. 3dfx Voodoo 3 3000 16MB
    4. Hercules 3D Prophet 4500 64MB (Kyro2)
    5. Sapphire Radeon 9100 128MB
    6. Powercolor Radeon 9500 128MB
    7. Sapphire Radeon 9800 Pro 256MB

I have the most fun with the first 4 cards, first attempt to overclock a graphics card (Voodoo1), trying to SLI the Voodoo2 with a non-matching Creative Voodoo2 and burnt the card! Voodoo3, trying to get the best image quality out of the "22bit" card, and tweaking the Kyro2 just to make it work on some games! Those were the days...

Nowadays the drivers are just too perfect, I hardly experience any problems.

Anyway, my first [and current  ] graphics card is the GeForce2 MX400... I've never even heard of most of the earlier cards mentioned [S3 Virge?], except for maybe the Voodoo series... Just goes to show how "new" I am to computers...

Btw, did anyone notice that zy actually answered this thread twice? :p

    1) Integrated Rage II (p1)
    2) 3dfx Voodoo3 2000 PCI
    3) ATI Radeon 7500 64MB DDR (given to family friends, who had P4 1.8 with TNT2 M64) :boohoo:
    4) ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB, R350, ZM80D-HP
Edit: Returned it: Voodoo3 was faster at painting windows while dragging.

Looking at nView and Hydravision, I'd have to say nView is better.
