    Hello everyone!

I'm having some problems running Doom 3 with the NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti4200.

For some reason, the game loads up normally but I can't see anything. It's in total darkness.

    Any idea why?

Just FYI, I'm using the latest 77.72 driver from NVIDIA.

    Thanks!

LOL! I'm already playing it on the notebook. ;)

It's not a monitor problem. I turned the Brightness level to maximum as well as the monitor's brightness. Still total darkness.

But I can see certain things... like displays off LCD panels in the game. Or the door panels.

Downgrade to 66.93 and try again.

Probably the gamma settings needing tweaking

Actually, I just upgraded from some 6x.xx driver. It didn't work with the 6x.xx driver and it didn't work with the new 77.72 driver either. :wall:

It's not 'bout "some" 6x.xx (there are 11 different 66.xx-revs), you should (!) try 66.93, if you didn't do so already. ^^

Turn up the brightness in the game's video options.

Hopefully he already did and is still having this problem (I thought so), otherwise my
suggestion to change back to 66.93 is really useless. ^^

Nvidia control panel -> color correction -> Apply color changes to: [Overlay] -> Color profile: [Advanced mode] -> Apply

I'm playing the game on my notebook right now. It certainly doesn't look THAT dark! :haha:

Seriously, on the desktop, we are talking about TOTAL darkness. You can't see anything... except lights and LCD panels.

Hehe.. Already did so. It's not that it's too dark...

It's COMPLETELY BLACK. Everything's black. I can't see anything except light points and LCD panels.

Np. The gamma is just screwed up in the default preset or whatever.

@eg660: yeah, but those make red dots all over videos.
