    AND ITS GHETTO!!! LMAO!!! :haha:

I picked up this kit for like 60 bucks. Has a Sacem pump, a swiftech MCW-6002 waterblock, two 80mm dual pass radiators. :p

I set em up pump --> radiator --> radiator --> waterblock. I used water wetter but it turned green a few minutes later. LOL! Must be the old stuff the seller used I guess.. :hmm:

Had trouble with the tube inserts thats needed for the quick connect fittings (the coolflex are too soft for it and needs the tube inserts) so I had to use some short pieces of hard tubing that the seller threw in. :p

There were some occasions I forgot to insert the clams before connecting the tubing (almost impossible to take off once its on... :| ) so I improvised with zip ties that I never bothered trimming off the extras.. :haha:

The two radiators are using 80mm ADDA fans from AAY's case (that he swapped out with even slower fans   ) I don't know how the tubing got so garbled like that.. LOL! But I don't really care... :p It's temporary coz I wasnt able to mount the radiators in my case so this setup will be going to my bro's PC once he buys a few more stuff. So when that happens, its back to good ol XP-120 again.

Oh yeah. NO LEAKS!!! WOOT! :p

I had to hang the Panflo from my XP-120 coz the ram was overheating... :faint:

My current setup is a lot cleaner than it used to. I haven't changed anything for a long time, so you guys have probably seen it before.

Haha, mine will probably be even more ghetto
PsY, you interested in collaborating and doing a comparison between high-end air cooling and watercooling? :)

The others have not, what.

So post them and show them how ghetto your setup is! :thumb:

Well, firstly theres some ghetto-problems with the pictured system ;)

The pump is neatly set up with the res

You're using 80mm rads built for watercooling. You should be using heatercores from cars!

You're using a commercially made waterblock!

    Your case acctually exists.

I've seen some hackjob boxes which are the definition of a ghetto system.

    Although tbh I haven't seen Chai's system yet ;)

Here's a shot of my parts.

    Clockwise from top left:
Nulon Ultra Cool, car radiator coolant
Shrouded car heatercore - if I'm not wrong, it's from a Toyota Camry
Storm waterblock - oh well, doesn't quite fit in with the theme, but I don't want to compromise on that
Tubing - cheap 1/2" ID PVC from the hardware store, A$2.50 a metre :haha:
Eheim 1250 pump - mismatched brass and plastic barbs :haha:

So how's that for ghetto :p

The fittings on the pump looks very restrictive...

The original fittings were a lot worse. The outlet one can't really be helped because it's not a standard size...

so u guys use coolant and not tap water?

i have some parts here and never used it since day one (lazy :shifty:)

thinking of setting it up, what should I use to replace the tap water?

  16. PsYkHoTiK

I use distilled water and water wetter...

The tap water here in Perth is horrible...a lot of calcium and other minerals, and not 100% clean. Gonna use distilled water + that coolant in a 20:1 ratio.

can we get water wetter here?

i remember I once asked chai and he said nope..

You have to mix coolant with water. Preferably 'clean' water.
