This thread is for Trinity... have you watched Howl's Moving Castle! I highly recommend it! Miyazaki has done it again. This one's as awesome as ever. and no.. I didn't get a pirated DVD
Not as thouching as Spirited Away....when I first watched Siprited Away I was so touch. But still a good movie can be a Oscar contender......
yeah. true, spirited away is still one of the best, Laputa is still one of my favourites next to nausicaa and tontoro... heck.. I like them all..
No I have not seen it yet. But I am looking foward too. I am just waiting for it to come out on dvd, Then I will go buy it ASAP. Trin Runs over to best buy.com/amazon and searchs.........
Damn... Should have seen it when it was at the theaters... Looks like the dvd will not be released until March 7, 2006.
Thank god for Kazzalite... dl'n now. Looks like they will just have to wait until march to get my cash...
I liked Howl's Moving Castle much more than Spirited Away. It might be the bishie boy himself or it might be the lower ghoul factor. In fact, of the three Miyazaki movies I've watched, I liked Spirited Away the least I definitely like Howl's the best. And the soundtrack is just... wow. Am now reading the book the movie is based on. Same title, by Diana Wynne Jones. The book's more satisfying, I find, with some key differences in adaptation...
I find the story lagging...lot of the plot not explained like... Spoiler Alert!!! Why the witch put a curse on her she doesn't seems to hold any grudge on her at all after she was turned into a old lady (ok maybe it's miyazaki's version of 'Love thy enemy'), why witch crave for the Howl's heart? There are a lot of this loop holes here and there. A lot of things just doesn't add up. I didn't get the satisfaction I got from Spirited Away at the end of the movie, instead I get this 'there's something missing' feeling. Even Naussica felt better. Think I need to watched it again.
