Wait, which driver did you use? I think the latest drivers do not have OVERDRIVE tab anymore.

I don't have the card anymore to confirm with that, but AFAIK, the new drivers don't support OVERDRIVE anymore.

    THX

before falshing my 9800pro (pcb 9800xt with Hynix 2.5) i wanted to know if the temperature of my card is to high.

ATItool says that the GPU Temperatur is 80°C (not idle) and GPU-Environement is 58°C.

Is the temperature to high for my card or is it acceptable?

    THX

Did you remove the cooler before? Are you sure the cooler is touching the core?

i have a sapphire 9800xt ulitimate edition (hynx memory 256mb) and 80c is not that bad if under load they always did run hot mine hits 74c.

and as for the oberdrive tab it does work on the latest catalyst 6.1 drivers as i have it on my pc
dont worry about it as the 9800 xt chip is good it 120 degrees c

I think you'll find 120C would be the point it would stop working and or cause damage and long before that you would have been seeing artifacts and random lockups, there is no way anything over 80C is healthy for ANY card even if not damaged right way constant temps of 80+ is going to reduce the lifetime of your hardware

Then prepare to get shocked when you start using higher end cards. :D

I changed my cooler and now the GPU temperature is about 56°C (idle)
Should be much better, isn't it?!

What cooler are you using? That seems to be normal.
