humm...just wonder how many of u already using 2G of ddr ram ? or u guys going to wait for am2 or gettting more ram after the launch of vista by the end of the year ?
Vista launched by end of the year? You mean... the year 2007 right? Only using 1GB at the moment, definitely looking to upgrade when I can afford it...
Vista will still be launched in November 2006. Only the consumer version is delayed until January. So, in those 2 months... you can *ahem* the new Vista Corporate edition.
hehehe what do you mean by *ahem* humm.... i found some good deal on ram 2x 1 G ocz ddr 4000 ..so still wondering ....gzz... beside that i think i need a new soundcard as well....since my hercules game theater wont be able to support vista i dont like sound blaster..... so maybe end up with m audio .
I'm saving up for Intel Conroe, then I'll get that with 2GB DDR2 RAM. Until then my 1GB OCZ Value VX will be just fine (bit of stuttering during one level in FEAR but other than that it's still ok...I don't play BF2)

I found a nice difference when I started using two gb. Especially while playing FEAR. I wouldn't like to tackle a game like Oblivion without 2gb of RAM. From what I've read, it's quite stressful on the old system. Notice I say "I've read" cos I'm still bloody waitin' for me collectors Edition from Play.com!!!! Supposed to have been posted this day last week. AAAAAHHHH!!!!!
Been on 2GB for a few months now, big big diff over 1Gb, especially when u've got heavy stuff running in the foreground and background. Vista? Yucks.. me waiting for OS X Leopard instead
