IMHO, I think you might just lack confidence (and maybe it's just because you scare ppl will find you different or something). but then even many ppl don't look at others during conversation, I think it's pretty normal. If you stare at the person too long... well it's kind of make ppl think why is that fella keep staring at me......
i never look into strangers' eyes, or ppl whom i do not know too well, its weird to look INTO somebody's eyes. haha eye contact carries too many meanings
Well looking one in the eye while talking is attentiveness... I was afraid of looking people in the eye once. It scared me. To a certain extent it still does. But I taught myself its respectful and therefore expected of me. I mean you dont need a deep piercing gaze. Just stare at the general direction.
I suspect I could have this syndrome as well. For the strangers, I never could stare at him/her for a long time.
