FAILED 9800pro to 9800xt, HELP..!

    i have a msi 9800pro 128mb 256bit R360 as

    n i follow all instruction as in techarp modification page Radeon 9800 Pro To Radeon 9800XT Mod Guide Rev. 6.0

    after everthin done n i reboot, tada..! nothing.. nothing on my screen, PC juz freeze.. hdd light up, all fans working but no beep sound or anythin.. i got a pci S3 virge display... but once the 9800pro agp card is in, it juz won't boot... how to flash back to 9800pro?? help.. i juz bought this card 2nd hand for an old p4 pc.. n paid guite a high price for it coz came with arctic silencer cooler.. anyway i can do to return it to 9800pro?? it was running ok with 9800pro bios.. btw, i flashed it to gecube 9800xt 128 bios.. HELP HELP HELP..

    Flash the old bios back. Put in your PCI card, go into BIOS and set priority to PCI (not agp) then reflash the stock bios. :D

    i dun think he got even the bios displayed...

    my board got an on board built in display... but can't find wher to set the priority display to pci... but anyway, i'll try to find a board which i can do that... tq...

    How does your card's PCB look like? Is it exactly the same as ATI's reference design? AFAIK MSI is using a non-reference design, which is probably why it doesn't work.

    If your onboard display is using the PCI bus, you should be able to enable it as the primary display but if its AGP... you won't be able to do so.

    There should be such option in your mainboard BIOS, however it's named differently on different mobos. It could be named something like this http://www.techarp.com/showFreeBOG.aspx?lang=0&bogno=356

    Did you backup your original BIOS?

    And did you check whether your card is the right card? Not all R360 are moddable as stated clearly in the guide.

    the i got it reflashed to 9800xt n funny, sometimes it'll run but sometimes it juz stuck (hang) at windows boot up... still figuring how to fix it... the card look exactly like the 1 shown in the guide, the 1 that can be flashed to 9800xt...

    If it's not working fine, it could be due to higher clockspeed. I think you should just change it back to the 9800 Pro BIOS. There's not much gain from 9800XT BIOS except for the thermal monitoring, IMO.
