Well, it's very hard for them to come up with a foolproof activation system. It's funny that they even spend so much effort on it alright. But while we may laugh, it's honestly quite hard for anyone to come up with a system that works. If you can come up with a reasonable system, I'm sure MS would pay you a million bucks to use it. IMHO, the best system would be to keep Vista cheap. Even together with the flawed activation system, more users will buy a cheaper Vista if just to save on the hassle of cracking Vista. MS has to remember, in the continuous battle between weapon and armour, the weapon always wins at the end of the day.
The Vista Business OEM looks quite 'ok' to me in terms of pricing. I would consider if the retail is the same price as OEM version.
