I was just reading about this.. I heard you can fit it into a 3.5" bay also using the heatsink it comes with.
It does look nice. I do wonder why they went with 2.5" with 2 platters instead of 3.5" with a single platter. Of course I'm not a hard disk engineer so maybe there's a good reason. I did read they were planning on doing a single platter version of the 2.5" at some point, 150GB is plenty for my boot drive.
150GB is actually quite cheap now, RM600? But I don't think it's worth it, unless you are after the seek time performance.
Yeah but you can buy two 500GB drives for slightly less. So, yeah, if you are looking for seek performance, but most people will want to look for capacity and a low cost per GB.
