Windows VIsta (Home Premium) - Problem

    Hi Guys,

    My Vista So weird.
    when i CHoose option - ShutDown.
    1. sometimes it really shutdown
    2. sometimes it restart. (if i leave it unswitch off for long time)


    anything wrong with my Vista or Lappie?

    Did you set Vista to automatically download and install updates?

    If you did, the Shut Down option would actually change from just "shut down" to "shut down and install the updates".

    i remember for the first time using vista. the shut down button always jump to sleep mode.:doh:

    Do you shut down via the menu or power button? I have a problem like this too, when I shut down the computer automatically restarts :/

    well, thats the power button logo you pressed i think..lol, vista's shutdown is replaced by hibernate unless it's being changed to shutdown. as for restart,yeah,might be what adrian mention..it installs updates and then reboots itself.

    Nope, I pressed the arrow and then picked Shut Down.

    well, thats weird then o_O...never happens to me though...

    It happened after I reinstalled Vista, before hten it never happened to me either :/

    It happened to me before during the XP days. Try searcing the google.

    Nope, I didnt change the setting this is the wierd part.

    I had this problem sometimes. I still don't know what's the cause of it though...

    Actually Vista does that by default. To check, go to Control Panel -> Windows Update -> Change settings.
