Im just a lil scared of installing windows xp pro 64 bit on my computer, scared i might break something... i know how to do it... but its apparently a bit change from 32 to 64 bit... i have a p5ld2 motherboard, with 3 gigs of ram... everything works perfect right now on normal win xp pro... Now my concern is will i have any hardware changes to do??
Why do you want to upgrade to 64bit? The most important thing would be driver support. Make sure all your devices have 64bit drivers.
i want to upgrade because i heard it was better then the regular one...you seem to know what your talking about so is it better or should i just stick with this one??
No it's definitely not any better especially if you don't not have more than 4GB of RAM, like g0tanks said.
Yeah, 64-bit XP or Vista is only necessary if you are using more than 3GB of memory (e.g. 4GB, 6GB, 8GB, etc.).
