Nice! British fish and chips! Kinda like their national food, isn't it? Cod fish must be very affordable there. Probably the staple fish. It's so expensive here. How was the meat pie, steak and ribs???
Had the choice of cod, plaice or haddock. I had the cod Chips were good, fried in beef fat.. i like mine with plenty of salt and vinegar you'll find chip shops at every other corner.. kinda like their "mamak" I suppose. Quite a few kebab shops too. Salmon isnt that expensive as well
1. Steak & stilton pie 2. cornish pasty 3. potatoes and hummus 4. lamb kofta 5. assorted turkish meze's
Hahahaha!! Yeah, I heard they adopted the curry as their national dish. But it seems they are more famous for their fish and chips, than curry. Did you try their curry? Is it even hot (spicy)??? How does it compare with Malaysian curry?
Wow!! You guys really went to town for food, eh? They really look very good. Are these pub food, or restaurant food? Expensive? Details, please!
The pie and pasty were from the Plough and sail pub in Essex which is run by one of jamie oliver's cousin.. Pie was about £12, pasty at £8 i think. The turkish food was somewhere right in downtown London. Went for the meze option at £10/person which is basically about 8 to 10 platters of various dishes which is shared amongst the table. Gammon steak & ribs was from a local pub.. at £4.90 each and comes with unlimited salad bar helpings . Fish and chips are about £2.50 - £3 from most chip shops
