Hahah ..myvi was nothing to brag, got it urgently when the CVT broke down .. BTW, got a copy of my AP for M5 ... RM55k!!!! So car cost only < RM100K 'G' earn more then 1/3 .......
Wow, didn't know it was this bad. What was the symptom of the CVT breaking down? My wife's City is humming loud when I drive faster than 80km/h. I hope it's just the wheel bearing issue... Oh well, that's what the G has been making out of us from, especially if you don't buy local made cars.
Wow.. I heard about Honda's CVT problem. How did yours occur? Did you use their ATF fluid, or a third-party ATF fluid? As I understand it, Honda is blaming the use of third-party ATF fluid for the CVT failures. BTW, I don't think the government is getting money from the AP. AFAIK, it's given FOC to AP holders who then sell it to you. In other words, the AP holders get the money, not the government.
Oh ... AP holders, then why so high .. damnit so certain rich SOB can be more richer. I only service in Honda SC and only use CVT ATF fluid, bunch of BS la. My car only clock 70k mileage, I had fren one clock at 90k plus and another old couple with Idsi clock 120k plus also had the problem. New Cvt box is RM28k!!! .. I had a re-con one at 3K and sold the car off. ..
Two new toys for the day. Another toy, the Sig X5 is getting it's innards pimped up. Long Range shootan goodness from S&B USB Audio goodness from the Benchmark DAC 1
Damn.. That sucks. I guess it was only expected for them to blame it on "third party ATF fluid"... I wonder if Nissan's X-CVT is affected by the same problem.
Nissan is more superior in CVT then honda ... they have been using CVT in Murano for ages .... The one I really worry about is the copy and paste potong ...
Unfortunately, most of the Japanese cars are moving to CVT, that includes Toyota Altis, Prius etc. I would rather pick DSG, that's the future.
