Many of us have migrated to laptop for portability, but some of us are still using desktop as primary, for performance.

So what are you using now?

As a performance freak, definitely desktop for me for a very long time!

    So choose your primary workstation!

    Laptop and desktop.

When I'm working at my campus, I bring my laptop.

But when I'm bringing back my work from campus, I'll use the desktop.

Of course, when I play games, it's definitely the desktop! :)

desktop to get serious productivity done. no laptop can beat a two 1920x1600 setup.

    laptop for meeting/presentation.

Well, I know most of us are using both desktop and laptop, but which is your primary? And why?

I use laptop at work too, due to mobility. But I hate it a lot, even though it's quite a work horse (Thinkpad T400).

I have no idea which is my primary

Laptop, school work, and also stream movies from my desktop when I'm on the bed.

Desktop, store all my movies, downloads stuffs, store all my photos and documents.

Desktop is definitely my primary and has always been. There were times I used a laptop quite a bit, but these days I work from home and don't get out much, so don't need a laptop that much. Which of course hasn't prevented me from buying a Thinkpad X120e (which is waiting in the US to be brought to me about 2 months from now).

Oh, I prefer the desktop. Reason is I need some a bit more computing power for my work. :)

Desktop always for primary. just more efficient for me and since that was what I grew up on since the 80's Its hard to change, I did try laptops but just dont like the feel. However when downstairs on the Tv I'm finding the Ipad is all I need

My laptop is my primary. As slow as things are, I can always count on it to keep running even when the power goes off (my desktop PC doesn't have UPS!) and whenever I travel. :D

But when it comes to games - my desktop is my "primary" PC, of course! :D

Yeah, why not tablet? I don't really play game on PC/Laptop. I use it for mails, internet, chat, and occasionally flash game. Tablet is a good workhorse for me since it portable ....

Well, a tablet PC as in a laptop with a screen that rotates would still count as a laptop, but the iPad would not.
