Car Insurance Claim Void - Truth Or Myth?

    Well, since we are on the topic, do you think it's true that if you hand over your keys to someone else, you are liable for it?

    I do know that if you leave your security access card in your car and a thief gets out of your condo / gated community using that card, you would be liable for the loss of your car, not the insurance company.

    Says here in my RACQ Comprehensive Insurance policy,

    "Exclusions - When you are NOT covered"

    "The Intentional acts of any person who has entered your vehicle with your permission or the permission of a person residing in your vehicle"

    I guess my insurance doesn't cover mine. It's autowash for me from now on :(

    Well over here, those person have insurance that would cover that (like the dealer/valet/etc).
