My XPS 13 is 4K, but I ended up running 1080p because of scaling issues... Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
It's pretty awesome! I can play with it tethered to the PC or completely wireless. Sent from my FruitPhone using Tapatalk
It's the Thronmax MDrill One Pro (Thronmax MDrill One Pro Review). Much cheaper compared to a Blue Yeti.
Time to add more RAM to my old i7-7700K. Won't POST when paired with existing RAMs. I thought it was a timing issue. I have existing Ballastix Sport LT 2400 which were discontinued. Ran these alone, PC will POST but getting graphic glitches and BSODs. One of the stick is faulty. My luck with electronics is bad these days. Corsiar LPX definitely have better built quality compared to the discontinued Crucial Ballastix Sport LT (heat sink isn't flush with chips and PCB breakoff points aren't clean requiring some force or some sanding) Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
I got a new router / firewall It's a mini PC from Protectli - FW4B It has a quad core Celeron 1.6GHz (J3160), 8GB DDR3L, a 120GB Kingston UV500 SSD and 4 port Intel Gigabit NIC. It's running Coreboot (open source BIOS), and OPNsense - a FreeBSD based open source firewall and routing software. I was looking to upgrade my Netgear router and saw how expensive the Nighthawks were. I had been wanting a bit more control on the security side but also something that can handle the routing requirements of a household full of devices and when Comcast comes to fix my line, gigabit internet. I have a firewall that drops packets based off a list from Spamhaus, and have set up a IDP / IDS setup based off of Suricata that both takes a daily refreshed list of trackers and blacklists (from abuse.ch for the latter). I'll probably setup a AV service that will scan incoming traffic too (for email attachments) since parents tend to click on things) Next up will be a WiFi 6 mesh AP set up of some sort (project for July) Sent from my FruitPhone using Tapatalk
New router. My current Asus RT-AC66U was started to have antenna problems... it works, but signal strength less than -80dB even when I'm right next to the thing. I swapped antennas from a spare old router but still no difference, so it's probably the internal wiring. Rushed out to find a replacement Asus, was thinking maybe one of the newer Asus AX series... but no stock. Looked around to see what they have and just grabbed this one instead. So far so good... and getting -25dB with this thing (-27 to -30dB on 5Ghz). Hard to tell the size at first, but after unboxing, this thing is HUGE!!
