Upgraded the ram on my laptop to a 32GB DDR4 Kingston HyperX set (up from the 16GB that came with my Razer Blade 15 Advanced). Ram is faster too (CL15 from CL19 I think). Sent from my FruitPhone using Tapatalk
No idea. But i needed to replace my old case and the Razer one was on sale an only slightly more than the usual Spigen one that I usually go for. So decided to go for it.
So I have 4 1TB SSDs on my main computer... Each different variant/form-factor. 1 M.2 NVME directly on the motherboard (WD Black) as OS drive, upgraded this year. 1 M.2 SATA SSD directly on the motherboard (Crucial MX500), this was double-sided, did not fit my XPS 13 properly. 1 SATA SSD (used this as my main drive before upgrading to NVME) 1 M.2 NVME attached to a PCIE card. Impulse buy.
Most recent purchase. 2 x 27" LG IPS QHD 144hz Gaming monitors. Logitech G533 wireless gaming headset Logitech G27 over the summer. (Correction, G29, thanks Chai for pointing it out) Also a XBOX controller. Now to hunt for a RTX 30 series card. Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
Currently Forza Motorsports. Haven't been playing too much racing games. I should try some of the racing sims, but the feel is going to be different. Lol Sent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
Good luck with the search! I'm on the lookout for a RTX 3080 for my eGPU Sent from my FruitPhone using Tapatalk
I've been trying to get a "Founder's Edition" one but stupid bots bought it all up... Sent from my FruitPhone using Tapatalk
Do you think there’ll be enough bandwidth over TB3 to get full use of the 3080 card? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I think that the "hit" isn't as bad as long as you're outputting to external monitors from the graphics card vs sending the data back to the laptop to display back to the laptop screen But that said, probably not - but curious to see the improvement over my 2070 Super.
