2.1 Speakers

am planning to get a new 2.1 speaker system. budget would be rm150, can only go max rm170

so what are the general buying guide ? am using it for mostly mp3.have seen many bad comments for sonic gear.

and would i need to get a good sound card too ??

I bought the legendary Altec Lancing ATP-3 at price of RM165.

Great bass with clear sound. See whether you still can find them in any of the computer shops.

2 years ago in Tmn U, JB. I'm not sure whether people still got stock or not. I see a lot of VS4121 currently, but it price around RM220.

But I also sold my ATP3 to my bro, after I change to Eacan A600-II.

LOL, well maybe this will ease your mind I'm still using an Altec Lansing PowerCube Plus ACS48 which predates yours by about 5 years.

 

I was probably a bit too conservative, I think I picked them up around 1996 or so.

They work for me very well, but it is not like they are hooked up to anything very advanced what with an Audigy Gamer sound card driving them which is around 9 years old.

 

Creative A300 is also a good alternative. Great Bass with affortable price. This model had been in market around 2 years, don't know when they will come out with updated version.

I owned about 10 others in the last 30 years with a computer, and these are the best quality, best sound, and they will last !!!
