Ok so I bought myself a Nikon D40x back in august. Today looking thru some boxing day sale flyers for a 18-200mm VR lens, when i see the same exact camera i have being sold at half the price i paid for it and it came bundled with lens, 2 GB HS mem card and UV filter.

Now I admit, i like my camera, but damn the price drop sucks.

    Anyone else experience the same??

Half the price? I didn't know a major price drop for D40x. How much did you get it for?

Wow.. Are you sure?? I haven't seen Nikon drop the price of the D40X much. Maybe what you saw was the D40?

I think it is most likely a special discount from the company for the boxing day sale. Other than that, i don't think there is a price drop.

i got my d40x with lens(the 18-55mm one), uv filter, 2gb mem card and polorized filter for aboot 986.00 CAD, on sale now for 549.00 comes with everything i got except the polorized filter.

i believe its just a store special. havent seen it cheaper elsewhere.

maybe time to upgrade to a d200. a guy at work scored one at a convention center show for about $1300 CAD, everytime i see him he rubs it in

I think there's many D200 in the second hand market.
