Yes typically it's just cheaper to replace the whole hub, but I think BMW's rear wheel bearings are press-fitted...
All bearings have to be press fitted first, even if they sell you the whole package. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
I know, I'm saying sometimes you can get the whole hub & bearing assembly, but for the rear bearing on BMWs, you can't get the whole assembly. You'll have to press-fit them.
Replaced with nice looking KMC X10SL chains. It looks nice and works equally well. Shifts nice and quiet.
Yea, I was using the cheaper KMC X9, and it didn't last and it's already rusting when I got it! I got the X10SL for US $27.50 which isn't too bad I guess.
Look what they are going for here. http://www.amazon.com/KMC-CH0140-P-X10SL-10-Speed-Chain/dp/B00PUCQXWW
I'm not crazy enough to buy those. I just want something with consistency and longevity. Sent from my D5503 using Tapatalk
Had a few nice rides over the last few weeks. Weather is looking nice again for this weekend. How about you?
I'm not sure how I missed all the new posts. I'm facing a lot of bike issues, front fork is leaking air, one of the rear wheel spoke broke. Paid USD$100 to service the fork, and swapped a wheelset from another bike. I suspect it's due to some jumps I've been doing lately.
Not as much as I used to ride though. Just once a week. Hmm...tough question. There are so many good and expensive bikes out there. I would probably buy an aluminium bike, with around 140mm suspension travel bike (aka trail bikes). Currently, I'm riding a lower end Santa Cruz which is decent. I probably won't upgrade unless it breaks.
Yeah, I'm still pretty happy with my current set up. But if I had cash to burn,,, I sure would love to have some Profile cranks and their Elite hubs. Titanium spokes and a set of Odyessy hazard lite rims.
